Description : This artwork by two indigenous artists consists of three painted metal poles  depicting the Rainbow Serpent and native Australian animals.

Funded by : This sculpture was part of the Swanston Street Walk Public Art Project (1992).

Date Unveiled:  The Painted Poles were unveiled in 1992. Though the poles were never intended to be permanent they still remain nearly a decade later.
