Pierce Francis Connelly

Sculptor : Pierce Francis Connelly, sometimes spelled Connely (1840 - 1932)

Background : Connelly was born in Louisiana, USA, but moved with his family to England as a child.

Notes of Interest : Connelly was a sculptor and  painter. He studied in Paris and Rome before setting up a studio in Rome in about 1860. He later lived in New Zealand where he became a well known mountain climber and landscape painter.
