Public Art In Petrovsk-Zabaykalsky

Petrovsk-Zabaykalsky  is a town and the administrative center of Petrovsk-Zabaykalsky District of Zabaykalsky Krai in Russia. The town is one of the stops along the famous Trans Siberian train route. The town became known for its iron factory and the place where (from 1830 to 1839)seventy-one Decembrists and ten of their wives, were sent on foot from Chita as part of their detention.   A memorial to them can be found at the railway station.
