Public Art In Woombye

The town of Woombye is located on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia, about 100km from Brisbane. The name is derived from the Aboriginal word Wumbai  meaning place of black snake or Wambai the name given to black myrtle. Woombye was once famous for its pineapple plantations and the Big Pineapple.
