Sea Queen Sculpture

Public Art : Sea Queen Sculpture
Sculptor: © Tony Jones
Date: Unknown
Description: Restored wooden
boat, permanently dry-docked on the edge of Claisebrook Cove.
Location: On its own little private
jetty on the edge of Claisebrook Cove, East Perth, Western Australia.
History: The small wooden boat was found abandoned on
the shores of the Swan River, and restored by Sculptor Tony Jones. It was later relocated to East Perth.
The 'Sea Queen' offers a nice resting place for young and old to watch the pelicans catch their meals or to admire
the small watercraft which often cruise the cove. If you look closely at the photo you can see Tony Jones' other
sculpture 'Standing Figure' in the background.
