Sir Joseph Edgar Boehm

Sculptor : Sir Joseph Edgar Boehm (6th July 1834 – 12th December 1890)

Background : Joseph was born in Vienna, Austria, but moved to England in 1862 and three years later became a British subject.

Notes Of Interest :

Scandal Alert : One of Boehm's pupils was Queen Victoria's daughter, Princess Louise, Duchess of Argyll. The Princess was at Boehm's house on the day he died, fuelling speculation the two were involved in a sexual relationship.
