Description : A creative series of wall
designs featuring about 3300 bricks with the names and trades of former Midland Railway Workshop workers. Each
wall features a sculptural inset.
Location : Outside the Midland Railway Workshops, Yelverton Drive, Midland, Western Australia.
History Behind the Workers Wall : The
concept of the Workers Wall was developed as part of the Midland Redevelopment Authority project to celebrate the
175th anniversary of the State and the centenary of the Midland Railway Workshops. All the bricks used in creating
the walls were produced by the Hills Community Support Group (HCSG), a not-for-profit organisation that provides
support and activities for youth at risk, people with disabilities and the frail aged.
